The Modern Witchcraft Book of Astrology

Your Complete Guide to Empowering Your Magick with the Energy of the Planets

By Julia Halina Hadas

What happens when astrology and witchcraft come together?

In The Modern Witchcraft Book of Astrology, Julia Halina Hadas explores how the movements and energies of the planets can be incorporated into magical practice.

Rather than treating astrology simply as a way of understanding your horoscope, this practical guide looks at how the zodiac, planets, astrological houses and celestial bodies can be used to strengthen spells, rituals and magical intentions.

Whether you're completely new to astrology or already know your birth chart, this book offers ways to bring the stars into your witchcraft.

What's inside?

The book explores:

♈ The zodiac signs and astrological seasons
🪐 The planets and their magical energies
🏠 Astrological houses
🌙 Celestial cycles
✨ Magical correspondences
🔮 Astrology and spellcraft
🌟 Asteroids and other celestial bodies
📅 Working with astrological timing
🧙‍♀️ Using astrology to strengthen magical rituals
✨ Spells organised around astrological seasons
🌌 Connecting your magical practice with planetary energy

A particularly useful feature is the index of magical energies and correspondences for astrological seasons, houses, planets, asteroids and other celestial bodies.

Astrology for witches

Astrology can provide another layer of meaning to magical practice.

The planets and zodiac signs have their own traditional associations, energies and symbolism. Understanding these correspondences can help you choose when to perform a spell, which planetary energy to work with and what magical intentions may complement a particular astrological period.

Hadas presents astrology specifically from a witchcraft perspective, making the subject feel relevant to spellcasters rather than simply teaching astrology as an isolated system.

Working with the planets

The planets are central to the book.

You'll explore their magical associations and discover ways to incorporate planetary energies into your own practice. This can help you make more informed choices when creating spells and rituals, particularly when you're interested in astrological timing and planetary correspondences.

Zodiac seasons and spellwork

The book includes dozens of spells organised by astrological season, giving you practical ways to work with the changing zodiac throughout the year.

This means the book can become something you return to regularly rather than reading once and putting back on the shelf. As the Sun moves through the zodiac, you can revisit the relevant section and choose magical work that resonates with that particular season.

A bridge between astrology and magick

You don't need to be an experienced astrologer to get something from this book.

It's designed for witches who want to understand how astrology can enhance their existing magical practice, making it particularly useful if you've been curious about planetary magic but haven't known where to start.

Equally, experienced practitioners may enjoy using the book as a reference when incorporating more sophisticated astrological correspondences into their spellwork.
